My focus is on plastic surgery for children, particularly in Kenya, who have facial disfigurements
eg cleft palates or scars from serious burn injuries and also, for the provision of artifical limbs.

Children born with facial deformities such as cleft lips and cleft palates are all too often sentenced to a life of isolation, shame, disfigurement, public humiliation, private pain and no education. Likewise, children with limitations caused by losing legs, arms and hands or from scar tissue that just needs releasing suffer the same fate.

There's nothing wrong with their brains! All these kids need is a chance in life to become normal human beings and to develop their minds to become worthy participants in their communities and possible future worthwhile country leaders. Further, the majority are negative HIV little people!

Have a look at what Operation Smile is trying to achieve - just from fundraising:

http://www.operationsmile.or.ke/. This is a drop in an ocean.

There's also an organisation trying to provide articial legs and arms but they are so basic that the patients' stubs are often left bleeding and sore.
